Onuma Quasi-National Park is a distance of about 10km from Hokkaido Shinkansen Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station. With Southern Hokkaido's tall, beautiful and majestic mountain, Mt. Komagatake in the background, there are 3 lakes,"Onuma", "Konuma" and "Junsai-numa with 126 islets coming from the lakes. It is a resort area in which the abundant nature can be enjoyed such as flowers and birds throughout the four seasons. Also known as the place where the classic song "A thousand winds" was created, in the park there is also "thousands of wind monument".

Onuma and its environs are also popular for outdoor field activities. Roughly from spring to autumn as well as also enjoying playing in the golf courses in the vicinity, activities such as canoeing, cycling, boating, horseback riding and using a Segway among others can be enjoyed. And in winter when the lake surface freezes over, activities such as smelt fishing on the surface of the lake or snowmobiling are popular. Throughout the year, you are able to fully enjoy leisure in the middle of beautiful nature.
