"Okushiri Island" is located at the south-western side of Hokkaido, surrounded by the Japan Sea.
To start with, the island is blessed with natural scenery such as "Nabetsuru Rock (Pot Handle Rock)" which is the symbol of the island, hot springs and the good fortune of abundant seafood such as sea urchins and abalones.
In the mid-west area, there is a ferry terminal in the Okushiri district and in the southern area, there is an airport in the Aonae district.
You can travel around the island using a rented car taking the road which goes around the island, you will also be able to have the experience of eating abalone which you caught by yourself at that place.

- Okushiri winery(Okushiri)
From growing the grapes to distillation, it all takes place on Okushiri Island.
You can sense the faint salt water, wine that was brought up by the sea.
"Okushiri winery" on Okushiri Island is the Japan's first winery on an outlying island which does everything from the cultivation of the grapes to the distillation of the wine.
In the middle of a natural environment which overflows with greenery, the wine made from grapes which are grown in the soils which contain abundant minerals from the sea breezes, a characteristic is its deep flavor and the faint sense of salt water.
While viewing the beautiful scenery, please enjoy the wine which is packed with Okushiri Island charm.
